Tree Squad - Compton Branch / is a community group for residents of Compton Road and Inwood Crescent, Brighton. We would love to see more trees, planting and biodiversity in our neighbourhood. This page has links to our news, inspiration and fundraising campaigns. Join us for updates.
What we do
We set up our group in order to participate in the Brighton and Hove Plant Your Postcode initiative. At the moment we are raising funds for replacing three elm trees that we lost to Dutch Elm Disease.
In 2022 we replaced one stump with a new Turkish Hazel tree. Our current mission is to replace a second stump with Tree #2, and we're hoping to raise £3000 by end of January 2025 to have a new tree planted in the March 2025 planting season! Have a look:
